Customizing the YY Cube

Part 5

It's finally time to start putting her together again!

I'm mounting things with the attitude that I want to check clearances and other issues and I may take things back apart if I need to.

Power Supply went in with no problem.
I've got a few drive bay covers painted, more to come.

Here is the mobo with Zalman cooler in all of its glory!

Black rounded IDE cables add a nice touch of refinement.

A closeup of that Zalman...
And here is the Zalman from above...
Laser-cut Hurricane fan grills add a nice touch of class. I also used some rubber trim around the hole and allen-head black anodized bolts.

I've gotten the front panel USB hub and the DigitalDoc5 fan controller installed in their respective drive bays, but not yet hooked up.

All that blue looks real pretty, no?

Look how this window positively glows from the camera flash. This is just how I want it to look when I get the cold cathode lighting hooked up.

Dig that new age Zalman cpu cooler and the nifty IBM 60GXP Deskstar hard drive. Each drive is mounted with an exhaust fan to its rear to ensure adequate cooling. An IDE RAID controller hooks them up in a RAID 0 configuration for maximum performance.

They look smokin' just sitting here!

Here you can see both of the Deskstars installed in their bays with cooling fans behind.

80 gigs of RAID 0 enhanced storage baby!

The mighty Silencer 400 ATX power supply is right below the drives.

Its Time to Fire Her Up!
