Bob's Custom YY Cube Case

Right Out of the Box...

The YY Cube case looks meaty, but its tabletop footprint is not all that large. Think of it as two mini-towers side by side. This means lots of room inside for your goodies, and it still fits pretty much anywhere a normal PC would.

The case comes with a box of accessories (drive covers, casters, etc.) and a 1 page instruction leaflet.

It's a nice clean high tech looking brute. Anything in this box has gotta be more powerful than yer average PC, right?

The front panel hinges open to reveal the power switch, reset, and drives.

Back panel has mounting for 2 case fans, power supply, connector bezel (serial ports, etc.), and PCI cards.

Front panel pops off completely to provide access to the front drive bays. Looks pretty easy to fabricate a new front panel, but don't know if it'll be worth the effort. There's a spot for a blow through fan here too.

Access inside chassis is also easy. Once the front panel is off, you loosen some screws and either side pivots open to provide full access. It'd be nice to find some kind of latching mechanism so we can lose the screws. Alternatively, we could replace with thumbscrews for tool-less disassembly.

The rhs of the case contains all the drive bays, and the space for a power supply on the bottom.

LHS of case is where the mobo goes.
