The town square. The plaque on this obelisk commemorates a cavalry unit that defended the town and surroundings against indian attacks. Originally it said, "...against ferocious indians", but the ferocious has been vandalized away. One sees many Native Americans in and around Santa Fe.

In fact, the Native Americans come to the plaza to sell their handicrafts...

A beautiful old art deco theater. Our hotel is the last building on the left...

The road leading to the cathedral from our hotel. The first balcony on the right is for a cooking school that looked like fun. We didn't actually get a chance to partake, but we visited their little shop and got the impression it would be fun to try sometime...
