Tutto Mondo
Tutto
Mondo is located among the many quaint shops of Carmel, California.
It isn't a very large place, but the food is wonderful. It is
decorated in a rustic country style, with lots of hanging garlic,
chianti bottles, and pictures of the many celebreties who have
frequented the joint.
We
sampled their italian sausage panini, fettucini alfredo, and penne
bolognese, and each was excellent. The dessert tray is an amazing
array.
When
you first sit down, you are brought bread, olive oil, and a dish
of fine italian olives to nibble on.

River Cafe & Cheese
Shop
We
discovered this one quite by accident, but what a lucky discovery
it was. Somehow or other our order to Fromages.com of a cheese
board for Thanksgiving 2004 fell through. I happened to have noticed
this sign while driving by, so we stopped in. It turns out we
were visiting one week after the shop opened! We had a wonderful
lunch and then proceeded to taste cheeses until we'd found 5 different
varieties to take home. They specialize in artisan cheeses made
in the US, but are by no means limited to just US cheeses.
