Disneyland Electric Parade

Disney is famous for its parades, and these are usually what I like best. Last time we went the Moulan parade was phenomenal, with all kinds of wild things I'd never seen before. This year, they revived the Electric Parade, which was created in the 70's, and were running it in the new California Adventure park. Here are the pix...

We're all sitting on the cold ground, huddled for warmth, waiting for the parade to begin. You have to find a spot at least a half hour early to get a good one.

This is a fairy princess with footmen to hold her cape...

Quite a little electric train driven by Goofy...

With Mickey in the tender...

Here come the Alice in Wonderland characters...

Alice herself, high atop a mushroom...

A hookah smoking character...

You gotta love a giant illuminated caterpillar!

Poorly exposed mice signal the beginning of the Cinderella segment...

Here is her carriage made of a pumpkin...

There are dancers from Cinderella's ball...

And her two obnoxious sisters trying to horn in on the Prince...

Aye, and a pirate ship too matey, with Captain Hook and Robin Hood engaged in swordplay...

A giant green illuminated hippo with long eyelashes that batted her eyes. This is why Disney is truly great!

Circus float. This one had clowns doing magic tricks...

...a dancing bear...

...and a pink elephant.

Snow White was accompanied by this fancy ore train filled with treasure...

A big green dragon...

A long patriotic float...

...middle of the long patriotic float...

...the end of the long patriotic float.

Back to Disney Main Street...
