Bertone Carabo

I think perhaps this car has the most futuristic shape ever created. I date myself in making that statement: the car is all straight lines and the fashion today is curves. I can't help it, though. I have always been a person impatient for the future to get here, and in this car, Bertone has succeeded in bringing a glimpse of what the future might look like. Amazingly, the car appeared in 1968, and so is already very old. It was a show car, and never saw production, so the chances I'll ever lay hands on it, let alone eyes are almost non-existant. This car introduced the scissor-door alternative to gull-wing doors, which was a notable development. As you can see, slats were also a strong design motif for the car.
