Homemade Water Block Here's a block made by a Belgian fellow from an air cooled CPU heatsink.

An unmodified Swiftech MCX 462 Air Cooler, Sans Fan...
Drilling out the rivets that hold the fan bracket...
One bracket down, one to go...
Voila: no fan brackets!
Now he's sawn off some of the threaded rods so there'll be room for the plex box...
Using a drill press to bring 'em down flush w/ the copper...

Bam, we gotta water block!
Check the Z. Looks like he has some stiff plastic to force the water to take a longer path through the cooler.
Plexi is held in place with these countersunk bolts...
Looks like different colored LEDs under each corner to light it up... |
